Bertha & Marge are awful names but "modern" names for girls like Harper, Campbell, Collins, Sutton etc are awful too. The same people who are criticizing these names are the ones who go crazy for those surname inspired crapshows.

If said correctly, Berta, it really isn't a bad name. Marge is not a full name, don't care for diminutives as stand alone names. Margery is a touch better, but actually prefer Berta.
