Lila vs. Violet

I am really finding it impossible to decide between Lila and Violet for our daughter. My husband and I are wanting to honor my late grandmother with our daughters name, my husband was also extremely close to her. We would like to do it in a way that isn't using her first or middle name (Elsie Jean) as she didn't actually like her name that much. Her favourite flowers were lillies which is how we came to Lila, and her favourite color was purple which is how we came to Violet. Please vote for which name you like the most between the two names. You could use Lilac as it is similar to Lila and is light purple.

I like both names equally. But, since your GM's fave flowers were lilies, I voted for that option. Honestly though, I think either would be a fitting tribute. Good luck to you.

You could also use her initials. There are lots of great combos for E.J.

Lilac is too weird.
I like either option here. Violet is a great choice if her favorite color is purple. Lila from the flower lily doesn't really make sense when you could just name her Lily
