Gemma is too popular these days. I know three born in the last year and I see it on here often.

^ That's odd because Gemma is ranked at #176 & used 1,649 times in 2023 compared to Gianna at #21 & used 6,129 times (US) but I realize regional differences.

I'm not a big fan of either name but I think Gemma is more appealing.

I don't like either sorry haha. I think they both just look chunky, and sound harsh. I've known a few Gemma's and prefer the spelling of Jemma, and I've never heard of Gianna so it feels a bit made up to me

I like Gianna because of the nickname Gigi and Gia. Gemma just always sounded clumpy to me
