I like Elliott because it could have the nickname Ellie if she wanted.

I would use Elliott Josephine. Personally, I would use Josephine Elliott for a girl, but it's not my child, so use what you like.

Elliott could go by Ellie. Tay and Kay ("KayandTayofficial") on Tiktok and Instagram named their daughter Elliott, but they call her Ellie.

You might like Elliette.

I voted for Elliott but there is a French female name spelled Eliette that you may like.

I voted for Elliott, though Elliette is very cute

How come people never like the girl names on boys 🤔

Absolutely NOT for all three first names. How tacky.
You are telling your child that her gender is worthless, unacceptable, and shameful.

That's completely B.S. My tween and teen girls have boys' names/unisex names, and they have never felt worthless, unacceptable, and shameful because of their names and gender. Some of their friends and unisex names and they haven't felt this way. It's mostly adults who make this claim.

Dont listen to the naysayers OP. I also like boys' names for girls. They're very versatile for girls. This is 2024, not the 1950s. Not every girl is traditionally feminine, and their names do not need to reflect this.

None. Would you consider a girl's name for your son? Would you also allow him to wear feminine clothing? If not, then don't use boys names for girls.

Well, those are vomitous. Agree that giving girls masculine names is insulting, like girls aren't good enough to present as girls. And neutral btw is not the same thing as masculine. River is neutral, Elliott et al are mega masculine.

Dang , don't you hate people who tell you what year it is as if that justifies frightful thinking. Doesn't matter what year it is, XX shaming is still wrong.

It's not XX (girl) shaming. Quit being so dramatic. There's nothing wrong with using boyish names for girls. People online are overly dramatic. Plenty of girls and women have them are doing well in life.

But they shouldn't have been hidden in the first place.

I love the irony of this website where names like this are "totally fine" and "it's fine for boyish names to be used on girls" but let someone say they want to use something like Kelly, Addison, or any other "feminine" deemed name on their son it's child abuse. You all don't wanna talk about that double standard though

Those names are not neutral they ARE masculine, indeed. Its the same if you call your son "Anna" or "Katherina"
