She might not like Ollie. I think it's hideous.

I voted for Ollie although I don't think it's the best nickname for an Olivia. My preference is Liv.

We've decided on Ollie/Oly for our little girl for family reasons and won't be using Liv, Livia, or Livi, as we don't like those nicknames. Ollie/Oly is the sole reason we chose Olivia. We're confident she'll adore her nickname when she learns about the family members she's named after.

Until she starts getting made fun of.

I'd rather be called ollie than the full name of Olivia which every other little girl will have as well since it's ultra common. Love you're doing a uncommon nickname for it

Not sure where Ollie comes from. It's usually a nickname for Oliver. Pronounced much differently from Olivia. Oh-lee would make more sense as a nickname or uh-lee but neither are very attractive. Liv would be my preference.

She's named after a family member whose name is Ollie. While we appreciate everyone's input, we're sticking with the nickname Ollie/Oly for our girl.

My name is Jacqueline after my great grandmother and for so long my family called me Jackie and sometimes Jack as jokes. So being on the end of the spectrum with the "boyish" and "hideous" nickname, I can tell you I turned out fine lol. I still like being called Jackie but I mainly do go by Jacqueline only cause I felt it's more me, not that I hated Jackie. I feel like some people forget the children can choose to disregard a nickname, parents should also respect that and stop nicknaming the child if it's their preference. Olivia is an adorable name and Ollie isn't so bad of a nickname. It is a nickname after all, not her legal name, so there's way more freedom with it.
