I like Bonnie as a standalone name.

Full names: Bonita, Bonaventure, Bonna, Bonne... You see, Bonnie is much better.

As Marie stated above, Peggy is short for Margaret. Other versions: Marguerite, Marjorie, Margarita, Margaretha...

I've never known Bonnie to be short for anything. I think it means pretty.

Peggy is a nickname for Margaret but I think it could also work as a standalone name.
