Edwin vs. Edward

Please help us pick between Edwin and Edward for baby Eddie. In advance we do like Edmund as a possible full name however nephew who is due around the same time is getting called Desmond so they are a little too close as the boys will share a surname and likely attend the same schools so we have ruled Edmund out. Thank you in advance.

I like both names voted for Edwin. I think this name is a little more jolly than the serious Edward.
