I wouldn’t say it’s "popular" just that there are tons of people with this name. I grew up knowing a ton of Joe and Joey’s. My husband (a Joseph, himself) has four in his family -- that we know and talk to. His best friend is also a Joseph, named after family, as well.

It’s not really popular like Alexander or Dylan but it is out there and very plentiful.

Joseph is a great name for a little boy and a man later on.
