Where I'm from the spelling Leila sometimes gets mispronounced as leelah

My friend's daughter is named Leila after her grandmother. They pronounce it Lee-eye-la.

Leila gmv. Beautiful. Laila is my second choice. I dislike the "lay" look of Layla.

Leilani is well enough known so I'm surprised Leila could get any other pronunciation. Good luck! :0)

I like Leila and I think most people would pronounce it right. There's also the option of Lela, but I personally still like Leila better.
