Bear's middle name vs. James vs. Jameson

Bear's given name will be Barrett but we can't decide between James of Jameson for his middle name. I prefer Jameson but he's named after his grandfathers, Barrett and James. Would Jameson still honor that?

I named my son Jameson after my late dad, James. To me James felt too traditional but Jameson seemed more modern and gave us his nn, Sonny. Jameson means "son of James" and he's my dads [grand] son so to us it made sense! Hope this helped.

I personally prefer Jameson but since he's being named after his grandfathers I voted James. Btw Bear is such a cute name!

Jameson still honors James very clearly. Either middle name is fine.

I dislike BJ initials so I would go with James (or Jameson) Barrett to avoid that. No vote.
