Shae vs. Shay vs. Shea

We love the name. What is the best spelling? Shea is probably my least favorite because it reminds me of Shea butter. Baby girl! Thank you!

It may be a lotion but Shea is the most "authentic" spelling (although it is an Anglicized version).

If you prefer a more modernized version, use either Shae or Shay.

If you have a surname with a hanging letter (eg. y, p, g...), pick Shae. The more hanging letters in a combo, the more cluttered it looks written out.

If your last name is a straight line, choose Shay.

Shae is the most modern version whereas Shay has both Anglicized Irish and Hebrew origins so I would personally go with Shay.

Wow C, talk about miserable, maybe get your own life in order before lashing out at others. You didn't even bother answering the poll, just attacking someone who did even if you didn't like the answer.

OP, Don't care for surnames as first names bUt prefer the spelling Shea when its used..

I like Shay best, having known two girls with this spelling and none with any other spelling. But I also don't mind Shae. I dislike Shea.
