Constance vs. Cecily
Should I choose Constance or Cecily for my little girl? I love both names so much, but I can't decide between them at all. If you're struggling to pronounce Cecily, it's "Sess-sih-Lee". Thank you in advance for your responses and votes!

I think both names are pretty but I voted for the retro Constance. A friend of mine has a little one and she's adorable.
I love both names so I'm no help.
Cecily would flow well with a one or two syllable surname that doesn't end in an "e" sound and doesn't have a hanging letter (eg. y, g, p). The more hanging letters in a combo, the more cluttered it looks.
Constance would sound/look best with a longer last name that has a hanging letter. A hanging letter would break up the straight line of the combo.

Cecily has the same meaning as Cecilia 'blind' (eg. someone who cannot see). As someone who's almost 90 years old, and thus, cannot see, I don't find the connection amusing 😁
