I like Lulu as a short form of Eloise. I associate Lola as a stand alone name, and not a short form of Eloise. I prefer just Lola over Eloise (even though I like Eloise too).

I voted for Essie as Eloise's nickname. I think it's more intuitive than Lissie or Lizzie. Besides, Lizzie is often used as a nickname for your middle name Elizabeth.

Does the middle have to be Elizabeth? It has the same beginning as Eloise and therefore wouldn't be my choice for pairing. Eloise Beth would work better.
