I think Judah flows better with Roland because it doesn't have an "r" in it like the other two first names. As long as your " G" surname sounds more like Gregory (G sound) and not George (J sound), Judah would be fine. I love Jude too.

I like the sound of Ira Roland.

I would be aware of the fact that Edgar Roland G. spells ERG. I don't know if it's an issue, though.

I prefer the classic Ira to the more modern Judah. I'm probably one of the few that doesn't mind Edgar but I don't think it's even a contender here.

^ Both Ira and Judah are in the Bible so neither is a "modern" name.

^ At this point, I realize you simply seek attention so, after this, I will no longer be replying to your "replies". Agree to disagree and move on to the next thread like (almost) everyone else does. It's simple, really.

PS - Judah was not a popular name until guess when? MODERN times. I'd give you an exact date but you probably already know this.

Who really cares? ^^ I like Judah though too.

Well, here you be are again, Namehog.

Correcting someone is NOT "attention seeking". It's just dealing with the facts. Perhaps it is best to not reply to my posts in future. You don't seem to handle being corrected very well. Instead, you keep returning to the same predictable, tedious and boring playbook: Projection, deflection and insults. Rinse and repeat.

People post here for opinions and information. We need to be accurate so we don't misinform.

Both Ira and Judah are Biblical names so they're not "modern". Not everyone on here is American so American stats don't apply to every country/culture. Stats don't tell you the whole story. They are limited. They don't tell us anything about the age of a name, just the usage in a certain place. Just because Judah wasn't in the top 1,000 in the US until a certain date doesn't make it "modern". Just because someone hasn't heard a name until recently doesn't make it "modern". Jewish people have been using the name Judah/Yehuda for centuries so I don't know how anyone can assign it with a "modern" label. There's a big and fascinating world of names out there that transcend statistics.
