I prefer Jessamine to Jessamy.
Both are too fussy, imo. Just go with Jasmine.
I like Jessamine a lot more that Jessamy.
Jessamine sounds/looks like "Jess of Mine." It seems more like an endearment for Jessica than a name.

Kind of like how "Ned" came from the endearment "Mine Ed."

QuarterHorse,
I've only heard Jessamine with a "-min" ending, as with Jasmine and Catherine. Does that help you like Jessamine a little? :0)
(I live in the U.S., but watch a lot of British TV shows so my pronunciation could be affected by that.)

Hi FedaCat,
No, you're completely right! I've never heard the name before, but I also thought it was pronounce "min." It's just kind of where my brain went when I saw it.

Fair enough. Some names do that to me too. :0)
Just to confuse everyone even more...in French, the last syllable of Jessamine is pronounced "meen".

It's just my weird take, but Jessamy reminds me of Jeremy, making it too masculine. Brains are weird places. Good luck! :0)
