It's for a book—If I use Roman, I'll use Nathaniel for another character, but if I chosen Nathaniel, I won't use Roman for the other character.

I prefer Nathaniel but it depends on the personality of the character, his occupation, the setting, what happens in the plot, the time frame of the story etc...
