I agree that is you don't go with Alyssa I'd use Elyssa or Elissa

My cousin is Alissa, so I've always liked this spelling. I think Alyssa is more common though.

Since Alyssa is believed to be linked with the alyssum flower, I prefer it spelled with a "y".

I, too, like the suggestion of Elissa. But, if you don't like that, then Alyssa is probably my preference.
