Meika vs. nn Mei vs. for a girl?

Meike (also spelled Mieke) is a common Dutch and German girl name, which is a diminutive of Mary/Maria in Germany and the Netherlands. Mika is also a diminutive. In Germany, Meike is pronounced my-kuh. In the Netherlands, Meike is pronounced May-kuh. The month of May is also written as Mei, but pronounced like May. I like Mika, which is a common nickname for Meike, but was thinking of blending the two together and instead of Meike, making it Meika, and then using Mei as a cute nickname. What are your thoughts?

In my opinion, blending names can be tricky because I feel like it leads to pronunciation problems. I do like May/Mei but I'm not sure if I like the "kuh" syllable. If you love it though, use it.

I think it is a pretty name but you will have to pronounce it for people the 1st time
