Good Idea vs. Doesnt Matter vs. Bad Idea

Hi, I am naming my baby girl "my-ah", but have had such a hard time on figuring out the spelling. Off the bat, I dislike the "y" completely it looks trendy and Maya looks too similar to Mayan and Mayo (in my opinion), then Mya looks awkward, incomplete and like a mispelling. I do really like it spelt Maia, but most of all I would love it spelt Mia. To me, Mia being spelt m-i-a is very intuitive to saying "my-ah" though I understand Mia happens to be said as "mee-ah" which partially boggles my mind. Plus, people swap "y" for "i" all the time in other spellings and yet it doesn't make a difference then (think Lyla -- Lila or Lily -- Lili). I am perfectly fine with going with Maia though if spelling it Mia isn't a good idea and would cause too many problems. My parents are very much old school and upon sharing the name verbally with them they immediately spelt it Mia, though I corrected and explained how there maybe a very good chance it will have to be spelt Maia instead, so to just add an extra "a" after the "m" - which didn't make sense to them at all. Anyways, would it be a good or bad idea to spell "my-ah" as Mia instead of Maia? Or it doesnt matter either way? Thanks!

Help! I love the name Guinevere, but I can't think of a really good brother and sister name for her. Since Guinevere is so empowering, I want the next names to be powerful as well. Thanks, Genie!
