twin vs. boys

We have two sons, Alexander and Nathaniel, 11 and 6 years old respectively, and we are expecting twin boys. We have been leaning strongly towards the names Victor and Gabriel, but we worry that they might not fit with our older sons' names, that are quite similar both in style and length. The other names on our shortlist were Ethan, Stefan, Leo, Leonard/o and Edward. What do you think of Victor and Gabriel with Alexander and Nathaniel? Do they look like two different pairings? Thank you for your help!

I think they fit nicely together. I also like the subtle matching of endings (Victor and Alexander with the R and Nathaniel and Gabriel with IEL). Leonard and Edward would be my second choice. They're matchy without being too matchy and have cute nickname options just as Alexander and Nathaniel have.

I love Gabriel and Victor (as well as Alexander & Nathaniel).

Just curious...Do your older sons have nicknames? Will the twin boys be going by nicknames or their full names?

Just to put things in perspective...the King and Queen of the Belgians have four children with similar names: the girls are Elisabeth & Eleonore and the boys are Gabriel & Emmanuel.

I have a pair of cousins (who are brothers) and their names are Alexander and Nathaniel :) I think Victor and Gabriel would be wonderful additions. What matters most that YOU love the names.
