I've never really liked Jennifer (although it's my best friend's name haha) but I think Jessica is okay. I don't necessarily think either name is "outdated" but I voted for "something else".

I find them very dated because Jennifer was crazy popular in the 70s and Jessica was quite popular in the 80s.
(and then the Jenna version became a 90s trend)
Maybe Jessamine/Jessamyn to put a fresh and unique spin on Jessica.
