The problem with Chanel as a namesake is that unfortunately she (Coco Chanel) didn't have the best track record when it came to Nazis during WWII. One could argue she was doing what she had to do to survive, but being a Nazi sympathizer isn't the best look. I'd go with Chantel.

I'm finicky when it comes to spellings so I would vote for Chantal but I can't do it for "Chantel". I dislike Chanel.
