Both the French Claire and the Irish Clare are spellings used in my family so I like both versions.

Which one I would use would depend on the surname as well as the middle name.

Clare gmv. Lovely.

My niece is named Clare (Siobhan) so I'm biased. But I've always preferred it to Claire which looks fussy. But either way it's a great classic. Good luck! :0)
