Yes, I like Jake and no I don't think of it just as a short form of Jacob. It's vintage and it feels laidback. Nice choice.

I like both Jacob and Jake so either name is fine with me. I think Jake is one of those rare gems: it's a down-to-earth, friendly, optimistic boy-next-door kind of name. ♥️

I only like Jake as a nickname. I know many Jacob and Jake's so I'm not a huge fan.
