Keira will win your poll but my mom actually wanted to name me this and spell it Kiera (which I think is intuitive because of Kieran).

Definitely Kira. That way, people won't get mixed up about whether the E goes before or after the I. Kira is the most practical spelling. It's also the way the first "keer-uh" I ever met spelled her name and the way my daughter's classmate spells her name.

To make it more confusing, the original Irish spelling is Ciara which is basically pronounced the same way as Keira, Kiera & Kira. However, some people pronounce it incorrectly with an "s" sound instead of a "k" like the singer.
Keira and Kiera are Anglicized spellings of Ciara because there is no letter "K" in the Irish alphabet.
Kira is mainly used in the Russian and Japanese cultures.
My order of preference for spelling is Ciara, Kira, Keira & then Kiera. If you live in the US, the three "K" spellings would be more familiar.

A person doesn't have to live in a country to know about a country. I know Americans, I've traveled numerous times to the country, I watch American news, I read American mags, I study the SSA name stats etc..
I hate to say it but sadly it's true - many foreigners are more informed about what's happening in the US than many native Americans do. What's the saying: "when America sneezes, the world catches a cold".
