Thoughts on the vs. spelling Kera vs. instead of Kara?

Funny enough, I don't like the name Kara - not because of the sound, but I've just never loved the spelling. But there is someone (an influencer) I've followed on social media for a long time and I've always loved her last name, Keramidas. I always loved the Kera part of it, but never even thought about it being a standalone name until now. It's pronounced the same as Kara, but gives such a different vibe to me. I'm not currently expecting, but just curious what your thoughts are on it!

Kera looks like Keira but misspelt, imo. If you're going for the care-uh sound, I'd recommend Cara. While I know a Kara pronounced care-uh, most Karas I know go by car-uh. Carys (rhymes with Paris) would also be similar. Kira or Kiara (key-are-uh) could also work while keeping similar sounds.

So Kara is usually said care-uh or car-uh.I'm assuming you are wanting it said one of those ways.Probably care-uh?
If so I think Kera is going to give you a ton of pronunciation problems.I think most people will assume it's a unique spelling of Keira and say it like keer-uh.

Keramidas is a Greek occupational surname associated with pottery and ceramics. Neither it or Kera appeal to me.

I agree with Andy on this one. You'd definitely get pronunciation issues.

If I saw Kera, I wouldn't pronounce it like Kara.
