We love the name Kit for a girl (don't like any of the full names) and are thinking of using it as an honor name for a family member named Christopher. Older sister is Gretel. What are your thoughts on Kit?

Personally, I prefer a full name (eg. Katherine, Kathleen, Christine, Katrina, Calista, Clementine, Christabel etc...) with Kit as a nickname but that's my preference. However, if you love it, go for it.

I think of a first aid kit, a science kit, a repair kit, etc. so it doesn't seem like much of a name to me. Just my opinion.
