Leah vs. Aliyah

I love the look of Leah, but hate the meaning. I know Aliyah is suppperrr similar, but it looks way more trendy, i also feel the look doesn't age as well as Leah, but I like the meaning much more too. Leah means weary, Aliyah means to rise up. What would you do? Middle name would most likely be Kathryn or Katherine.

I voted for Leah. I've also seen the meaning of "delicate" for this name and that's a very appropriate description for it.

Leah was a g-gma's middle name so I consider it a family name. I find it to be more timeless than Aliyah.

Out of the two in the poll.I prefer Leah. It's a lovely classic name and I don't think you should let the meaning ruin it for you but if it really does then how about Aleah?
meaning exalted/to ascend/to rise up
It gives you more of the look of Leah but changes the meaning.
(also I think the Katherine spelling for the mn is nicer regardless of first name choice)

I'd probably use Aliyah and just call her "leah" as a nickname. I think Aliyah is a very pretty name and I don't see it as particularly trendy. You could also use another name such as Rosalia or Amelia and use Lia as her nickname.
