Your father's cousin is also your cousin but I think the relationship is distant enough to use it, especially if you love it.

Yes, that's fine. Unless you're super close with this cousin. Even then it would be okay if she was okay with it. But if she's just a relative you know about and see at reunions, it's not a big deal.

Clarissa is a gorgeous name, btw.

Do you often see your cousin? Are you close? Personally, I don't see a problem with Clarissa. If you intend to use a nickname like Clara or Clare, it would really be a non-issue.

You can definitely use it imo. That's not a close connection at all. I think Clarissa is absolutely lovely.
