I also voted for Daisy.

I know you said no suggestions BUT although I think Malina is pretty and likely honors your heritage, it sort of resembles the word "malign" so I would consider Melina, which means honey.

NameHog, Malina will stay because it's the feminine form of Malcolm(her grandfather) and honors out Scottish heritage. People likely won't know her middle name either, so this isn't a dealbreaker for us either.
