First vs. Middle vs. Not at All
I'm considering the name Bowie for a boy. I have lots of boy names I like, but I'm not sure if Bowie (one of my favorites) is a good full life name, like for a baby boy and man. He would 100% be named after David Bowie so the association doesn't bother me, I also like the nn Bo. Opinions?

I also love David Bowie and I like the name. He could go by Bo for his nn if he chooses

I'm not personally a fan of Bowie. It reminds me of the Bowie knife which is pronounced boo-ey (rhymes with gooey or Bluey).
Beauregard, nn Beau would be my preference. You might also like Bowen.

I voted "middle". Even if you like David Bowie (which I do), it would still seem strange to me to name a child after him.
I'm personally not a fan so I would plop it in the middle. I'll second Beauregard as a suggestion.

One of my top three boy names is Bowen with the nickname Bowie/Bo so of course I voted to use Bowie as a first name. I think Bowie is fine as a "full name" too.
It's not a bad name. Prefer it as a middle name.

I'd personally put it in the middle name spot. I like it a lot; I'm just not sure how well it would age as a first. Thirding the suggestion of Beauregard. Love that name.

Since Bowie's real name was Jones, would skip it and go with David as a mn. If you must have Bowie, mn only.
