Well, as Kenna is an actual girl name, and Mckenna is a masculine surname with mc literally meaning son of, for a girl then Kenna is the obvious way to go. Looks and sounds better anyway.

There were so many names starting with Mc like McKenna,McKenzie,McKayla etc.that were so popular for a while there.I feel like that trend has had it's day and now they are already feeling a bit dated.
I like just Kenna on it's own.It feels fresher.

Definitely just Kenna, using the Mc Mac, son of, Celtic clan names for girl names was an awful trend that will hopefully stay dated

I think Kenna is cute and feels fresher. If you use McKenna, I like it spelled Makenna. It seems less like a surname to me.

There is an actual unisex name, Makena from the Kikuyu, but still prefer Kenna, doesn't seem so been there, done that.

Kendra would be removed enough from the "mac" association. But I think McKenzie McKenna etc are cute.
