Since Cannon can also be defined as something other than a weapon (eg. a church official or an accepted principle or rule (canon), I voted for that option.

I love Wes but unfortunately Wesson just makes me think of the oil.
Weston or Wesley would be great though!
I also like Gunner but I'd much prefer the Gunnar spelling.

Pistol
Ax
Rocket
Pike
Knife
Sword
Lance
Spear
Hatchet
Missile
Crossbow
Dagger
Grenade
Bomb
Mace
Blade

Or maybe a related term like Caliber, Killer, Trigger, Mortar, Nuclear, Bludgeon, Drone or Ammo.
