Scott (Scotty) vs. Bram

So guys I've had my sons name picked out since before I got pregnant and now I'm due in august and I just saw a tiktok of someone saying Scottie is growing in popularity for girls. I've always pictured myself with a baby boy named Scotty and I want to use it still but I don't want to give my son a name destined to be a popular "girl" name in the coming years. Should I go with my backup name of the one I've loved forever plz help! -Eden

I would use Scott. It may be a trending girls name currently, but it will always be a boys name imo.

If I name him Scott I'm going to call him Scotty too lol. Just not all the time! I don't agree with never using your child's given name! But will def be calling him Scotty too.

Just name him Scott and call him Scotty until his dislikes it or you feel uncomfortable with it. Then you can call him Scott. I don't foresee Scott becoming a common girl name.

Scott is nice, if you call him Scottie nbd, it wont last past his 12 th bd anyway.
