Calisha vs. Use it vs. Don't use it
I think the name Calisha is absolutely perfect for my daughter! It's a combination of my mother's name that begins with C, and the -sha ending of my best friend's name. It honors the two people in my life that are so special to me. I love the way it sounds, the way it looks, and the uncommoness it has. I'm worried of offending people, though- this name has an "-isha" ending which is commonly used in black culture. My family is as pale as snow, and I'd never want to come across as (or be) racist for using this beautiful name. Do you think it would be offensive if I were to use this name? Please especially answer if you are black! I'm horrified of hurting anyone. Thanks in advance!
