Genevieve vs. Jenevieve

All other family members have J names, so should we stick with the pattern or go with the traditional spelling? Her nn will be Evie, so probably can’t use the spelling Jennavieve. (Genevieve was the winning name from my other poll, so thanks to all who helped us with that decision!!)

Definitely Genevieve, the original spelling. I have a 3 yo Genevieve, LOVE the name! There is an adult movie star named Jenevieve, so I wouldn’t spell it with a J. I don’t know how well known she is, but still. GL!!

Ordinarily I would say stick with original. However, since ALL other family members start with J, Jenevieve got my vote. It is not a crazy spelling.

FYI If you try you can find an "Adult movie star" with any name.

I like it spelled with a J bc it’s different, she can be nn’d Jen or Jenny without a weird G, & it’s like everyone else in your family. I love the nn Evie too! But at school, it might end up being Jen or Jenny! You never know.

Jenevieve with a J looks way more trendy...also, if a name is unique like this one I would worry about the porn star connection

I wouldn’t worry about the porn star thing. Only perverts know that stuff. It’s not like Star or Ginger or Lucky or something.
