eh...I think initially you’ll have to tell people over and over, "no, we didn’t name her after Kate Hudson," but since we don’t go around telling people our mn all the time, then it won’t be an issue throughout her life IMO. So, to be honest, I probably wouldn’t name my child Hudson Kate, because it would get annoying telling people over and over, but I don’t think it’ll be an issue for your daughter. I personally am not a fan of the fn Hudson, though. I’ve heard worse. gl!

I do not like Hudson for a girl, plus it does not sound good with Kate. Not trying to be a party-pooper, but that’s what I really think. Do you like Hunter Kate? People will assume that you’ve named her after the actress, since Hudson is such an uncommon name--especially for a girl. But if that doesn’t bother you, then I guess it’s fine.

I really just think we are going to stick with what we already have. Thanks for the comments though. We really like it and are pleased with the name.. and as long as she doesn’t get the butt end of the deal than that is fine. Like the first person said.. we will prob not call her by her first and middle name much anyways.. and I don’t really like Hunter for a girl name.. thanks though..

No.. we would never name our kid Brown or spears.. because neither are first names.. Hudson is a perfectly normal first name..If it was Hudson Claire or something else.. you wouldn’t make that comment.. but just because a celebrity has it i have to be scared to use it.. gah.. dang the celebrities! what party poopers.. i appreciate everyone’s comments.. I will definitely talk to my husband about our name choice and see if he thinks we should change it.. It is just hard for me to change it just because of a celebrity after we loved both names.. just don’t want to do anything to hurt my daughter in the long run..

I think it could be put together better. Hudson is a nice first name. I like Claire for a middle name.

You know, you might be able to tweak Kate a little bit--maybe Katya/Katja or Cate or Katydid, etc....??

Any of these would be fine. Honestly I do love Hudson Kate, but you would constently have to explain over and over. It would get old.
