How do you pronounce Declan? Is it De-Clan like it’s spelt? Also, how would you pronounce Grayer? Is it like Grier or different?

Declan is pronounced just as it’s spelled DEC-lan. Grayer is GRAY-er.

Some of the names you’ve mentioned are preppy-like Carter, for example-but they’re trendy enough that I don’t think they would strike anyone as being "rich."

Look at it this way: If you could yell out the name at Walmart or the playground and have two or more kids answer-well, then, it probably isn’t a "rich," name-kwim?

If you’re really going for that vibe, I’d suggest looking for something a little more classic and/or unusual. In other words, something that would sound like an old, family name.
