Ok i really want the name carly as my daughters name but i dont know which spelling. I like Carlybut my friends say its to dull and they came up with Karlie and i also like it very much. HELP!

Carly is not dull. Its cute and its a ot more professional and easier to spell than any variant of it.

Karly is also cute. I think you should go to the store and look for items with the name Carly/Karlie on it and see what you come up with. I’m serious. I know it really is important for kids to be able to find "trinkets" with their name on it.

Karleigh is really cute! I prefer the spelling with a K over a C. Just my preferance. I also like Karley a lot.

i like Carly best, all of the other spellings are trendy looking and won’t age well imo. Carley, Carlee and Carlie are ok but a bit cutesy.

If a name is dull it is dull, the spelling won’t change that. Carly is best. It is the least trendy and will age the best. I like it as a nn for Carlin, which is a name I read in a book called The River King and thought it was neat. GL!!

Carly isn’t dull--it’s NORMAL. I think it’s a much better idea to go with the classic spelling of a name like that rather than trying to come up with your own. That’s how we end up with names like Aymee. No lie--that is not made up, it’s a version of "Amy" that I’ve seen twice before. Yikes. Just stick with Carly--it’s cute and normal and people will actually know how to pronounce it!!! Your daughter will thank you.
