Aileen vs. Alinda

I am needing help with the two names. Nickname will be Ally or Allie. My mothers name is Linda Aileen and I want to name my daughter after her, but I love the nn Allie or Ally. Please help. Thank you

I like Melinda, too, but I don’t think you could use Allie as a nn.

a few ideas of names with Ally/Allie for a nn that are close to your mom’s name:
Alexa Lynn(for Linda)
Alexandra Lynn
Alyssa Lauren(or any L name you like,she’d have your mom’s initials reversed)
Allison

I’d use Aileen as the name. I’d use Alli, Aly, Ally, or Allie as the nn instead though since Alley is an actual word. The others look better.
