Are Jordyn and Sydney to trendy? Do they not age well for a person? Not in the time frame I’m not worried about what other people name their kids and how well it will make my kids names age. I want to know if they age well for them? A 30 year old Jordyn and Sydney Grandma Sydney Grandma Jordyn ext.

I’m kind of mixed on this. Ireally like Sydney and I like Jordyn too. However, they definitely are trendy. They follow the current trend of slighly masculine and unisex names on baby girls. Eventually I am sure this trend will pass. It kind of reminds me of the names of the 80’s (Heather, Jennifer, Stephanie, Lindsay, Ashley, Tiffany, etc). These names were so popular and viewed as nice back then and are not anymore even though a lot of middle-aged women have these names. The same thing will happen with these names eventually. There will be a generation of women with the same types of names but they will no longer be viewed as nice names, instead they will be names of the early 2000’s. They will stay age well though since it’s not as though they will be the only Grandma Sydney and Grandma Jordyn around.

I agree with that. Also, even though these names are trendy, I still think they will age ok because so many other people are naming their children these names, so as this generation ages, it won’t seem strange to have a Grandma Jordyn and Grandma Sydney. GL

I don’t think its too trendy.. and if you’re scared to too many of them, you can always opt to do a Sidney/Cydney (i have a friend who spell it this way) or Jordin/ Jorden

I love Sydnee and definitely think it ages very well! I can see it as an old grandmas name for sure!

I personally like Sydney better. Jordan just feels like a boys name to me.

As far as aging well, I think you are fine there. Trendy names by default age well. There will be alot of 30 year old Sydney/Jordens in 30 years. And a lot of Sydneys/Jordans that are Gradma’s in 80 years. It can be compared to Rose (a name I love by the way), people say it sounds like an old lady name, but that is because it reached it’s peek of popularity 80 years ago.
