What do you think of Delaney? I hate Lainey as a nickname so hopefully that’s not the only reason you like it. I like Elle, Ellie, Del, Della as nicknames. thank you. Oh also is this trendy? What would you categorize it as? Classic, trendy ext.?

I really like the name Delaney. I think Della and Laine are cute nicknames. I picture Delaney as a slender romantic beautiful woman. I think it is a little more on the trendy side but nice. Ive only known one Delaney in my live and shes about 8 now.

My 6 year olds name is Delaney Claire, and she goes by everything, Delaney, Laney, Lane, Ellie, Dee, you name it. Our other daughter is Miley Grace if that’s your style too. For Delaney we also considered these:

I consider Delaney to be very trendy. I also think she probably would get the nn Lainey at some point or another. Sorry I just really really dont like the name at all. It just doesnt seem attractive to me at all but I know tons of people that love it or have kids with the name so it must just be me! lol. GL! :)

It’s ok. It’s definitely trendy, which isn’t usually my style. It seems little girl-ish to me, like it won’t age well...along the lines of names like Mackenzie, Kennedy, etc. Sorry. But I do love Gavin a lot! GL :)

My 6 year old is named Delainey Rheanna. When I chose that name it was very uncommon. It seems to be on this site almost daily at this point. I still haven’t met any other Delainey’s in person though. My cutie pie usually goes by Laine. I am still in love with her name 6 years later.

I really like it and she probably find the nn Del "cool" in her teanage years as well as being sweet when shes younger.
Id say that Delaney is a "trendy" name but definately not too popular.
