Why would you want to complicate things for him? I wouldn’t pronounce them the same way. For Eithan, I would maybe first think A-thin or I-thin.

You may like to be different and unique, but that doesn’t mean your son will! Don’t give him a lifetime of trouble just because YOU want to be different. He’s the one who has to live with it his whole life and spell it for everyone!

If you really wanted to be unique you would choose a less popular name rather than mis-spelling a trendy one.
