Baby Name Poll Results
I posted yesterday vs. didnt get a lot vs. mostly focusing on the fn, i want opinions of nn.
Ok so I posted this twice yest and in all got 5 actual responses regarding the nickname. I am naming my daughter Aome Charlotte. Its pronounced Ay-Oh-Me. and stands for apple of my eye. So i’m thinking her nickname would be apple? I’m really wondering if its too much, but my sisters nickname has always been Coco and her name is Cassandra so its pretty far off. Would calling Aome Apple be too far out there as well? I just want to know will Apple be a good nickname for Aome or not. Aome is not changing. and neither is the spelling. I really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Where did you come up with this name? I think you probably didn’t get a lot of response, because it’s kinda silly. First of all, I think nns should come later when the kid is born and something comes out naturally. Some people are so obsessed with finding a nn for their child before they are born. Maybe let the kid decide when they get older what they want to be called. Secondly, ever since Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter this, I can’t get past how ridiculous it is.

I like Aome... I was one of the ones who really loved it yesterday, but I’m not too keen on Apple being a nn... I just don’t think it works... Ames, AO, Mimi... those all work, Apple is just a little too far of a stretch, and it isn’t any easier to say than Aome. GL!

I have to agree with the 1st poster, nn happen. Apple will be a fine nn for family members only, not something to take to school.
Just a word a advice, a lot of people who don’t like the name just skip the poll. It seems that when people give their honest opinions, others tell them they are being rude and some tell the poster not to listen to them. That’s been my experience on this site anyways..gl.

If you want to nn her Apple, just nn her Apple. I don’t see why you need to make up a name to do it. If you love Aome, then name her Aome. If you love the nn Apple, then nn her Apple. Who cares what anyone else thinks? I know a little girl named Tangerine which sounds pretty off the wall, but once you see it attached to a child, it’s adorable! Good luck!

I’m glad you’re not naming her Apple but I think the nn is absolutely fine as long as Aome is her real name.
