Camaron vs. Yes vs. No

I asked this the other day, but didn’t get many responses. I’m the type of person who doesn’t really like to change the spellings of names, but would it be alright to spell Cameron like Camaron? Thank you.

It is fine if you like it, but I prefer the spelling Cameron.

Cameron is best. With Camaron we will have trouble when he gets older, people will spell his name wrong on licenses, insurance, and all those legal things.

Really? How would they spell it wrong if it’s wrote down for them? Do tell. I’m really thinking hard about this and I’d love all the help I could get! Thanks!...Well I just thought that you could be right...when he said his name was Camaron he’d have to spell it for them, but Cameron is also being spelled Cameran and Cameryn for girls and boys, so would it be any different?

Yes that is true. But, those parents are just causing trouble for their children. And if other people jumped off a bridge, would you? Just saying, give your child a normal spelling, and you will have the name you love, and he will have an easy life.

I would know, my name is Ayren (Erin). I always have to re-spell my name for people so they get it right. I don’t like it, and most likely your child won’t either.

If he’s doing things over the phone and he gives his name, people will automatically spell it Cameron. It’s the same for girls with it spelt Camryn ect. My cousin named her daughter Kamryn and she’s constantly having to spell her daughter’s name down the phone.

Unique spellings are always a bad idea.Take it from someone with a family member named Westly when it should be Wesley.It is such a headache always having to correct people.
