very cute, but I would spell her nickname Emmie rather than just the letters M.E. I think that will look like Me, and its much less feminine than Emmie

I love the name Mary Elizabeth and I love Mary on it’s own. I think it’s a bit much to call her Emme. I’d just call her by her fn, Mary. No need to confuse things. GL!

I don’t think calling her Emmie/Emmy/etc would be confusing. Lots of people have nicknames. It would be as simple as "Hi...My name is Mary Elizabeth, but I go by Emmie". Go for it!

I think going by M.E. is ridiculous. I love Mary more than I do Emme. I think Emme is much more childish where Mary is much more timelss and classical. When she is older and in a more professional setting she will probably go by Mary anyway because it is not childish sounding like Emme. Just beause the initials are M.E. does not mean she needs to go by them. If you like the name Mary enough to name your daughter it, you should like it enough to call her it.

Mary is not bad but it is a bit plain. Emme (M.E.) is bad though. I like Caroline so much more. It is so pretty.

Sometimes a name we hear on t.v. or in the media may sound good because we do not have to try and come up with a name of our own (which is hard). If you do not like Mary Elizabeth enough to call her Mary, then there is a problem with the name. And you have to face it, she won’t always go by Emme.

I love the idea of Mary Elizabeth to honor both moms. I also understand that if Mary is still alive, you would not want to call her Mary, so I would call her Emme, but only if Mary is still around because I think Mary is much better in that it is not so trendy, will age better, and is prettier.

Works fine for me. I would use Emmie. My initials were C.A.S. and my parents considered calling me Cassie.

I like it! But, instead of M.E. why not just use Emmy, like the rapper Eminem did. He was called MM because of his initals (Marshall Mathers) but spelled it out phonetically. Emmy is cute even by itself. GL.
I like Mary Elizabeth. Please don’t give her a nickname--Mary is timeless and lovely. The nickname will take away from her beautiful real name.
