I went to school with a Kip. I think it is a cute name but IMO the y makes it look feminine.

Kip sounds kind of nerdy to me. Kipton sounds a bit out there. If you use it, Kipton is definitely the best spelling. Kiptyn looks tacky. GL!

Sorry I think it’s a really dorky name. I would never date a guy named Kip or Kipton.

Everytime I hear Kiptyn on the Bachelorette, I thought of Lipton tea. Don’t know why, but I did.

I like the middle name Reid best, but you should spell it Kipton, not with the "y"

Kiptyn or Kipton is a fantastic name. I saw the Bachlorette and when I heard his name, I loved it. I still do. Anyone who makes fun of a name, is never worth planning your child’s future around anyway. There are so many different names around the world that are common in other countries and sound very foreign to us. Still, they are beautiful if you can appreciate the differences in people. Thank God everyone in the world is not the same. A world of robots, that all have the same name....very scary. What would all the people who love to make fun of names do anymore....poor things would be bored too.

I totally agree. I love The name Kipton. No offense to people who dislike it. But, I think its very creative and different unlike the plain Johns or Tylers. To many boring names. thats why i like Kipton.
Kipton Reid would be my pick...or Kipton Michael
P.S i would so date a guy with the name kipton.

My sons name is Kiptyn Travis, after his dad. I hate when people aren\’t open to the name, it\’s unique and not boring like some names out there. Unfortunately, names like Bob, Dan, John, etc.are boring and over used. I\’m glad there are people like myself who have an imagination and think outside the box. If children choose to make fun of someones name because it is different, it\’s because they probably have ignorant parents, shame on those parents!!

I think the name is effeminate and trendy- not imaginative like the poster above thinks- the kid has to live with it forever- move on to less crazy pastures

I LOVE the name Kiptyn and I do NOT think it being spelled with a "y" is feminine!!!! My son was born this past July and his name is Kiptyn Lane and I do not think he is girly in any way! It is a very unique name and I don\’t know why people have such a problem with different names... why does everyone have to have a boring common name?? If you really think hard about every name there possibly is, they all sound a little funny and can be made fun of and have horrible nicknames... not just the unique ones!!! And to the comment above, so far my child loves his name and if you have positive parents and teach your child the important things in life, I dont think they will mind whatever their name is! If so many people are worried their child will be picked on because of the name, maybe other parents should be better at teaching their children not to pick on others and no one would have to worry about what they name their child! I agree with the comment 2 above about ignorant parents!!! You all are probably the ones giving your children the ideas of the names you can pick on!

My son was born last January and his name is Kiptyn David. I have gotten so many compliments on the name! I don’t think spelling it with a y is girly at all. We absolutely love the name - and so do others!
