First names vs. for the vs. Nickname Bo

I really want my son’s nickname to be Bo but I don’t want that to be his full name. Any suggestions?

I like Beau- I’ve known a Beauregard before, but it is a bit lengthy.

I’ve also known a Bartholomew who went by Bo instead of Bart

For what it’s worth, I’d prefer the spelling Beau, or maybe even Bow. Bo makes me think of BO (Body Odor).

Beau Alexander
Beau Nathaniel

I’ve thought about the initial thing but I just can’t come up with any combos I like. Any more suggestions or combos?

I like Oscar, Omar and Bradley. I’m still not 100% set on the initials so suggestions would be nice. Umm this is kind of strange sounding but I also love the name Nicholas. Would it be strange if I named my son Nicholas Beau and called him Beau? Brothers are Orin Thomas *Ori* and Griffin Thor *Finn*.

I think you could name him Nicholas Beau and called him Bo. I know several people that only go by their middle name.

Love the name Bowen as a full name for Bo
Or Brendan Owen, if you want to do the initials thing.
Or Bo can be short for Bowie (as in David, my favorite rock star of all time and in my opinion, the EMPEROR of the musical universe)

My name is Brian. My grandfather was Italian and couldn’t prounounce Brian very well so he called me bobo and bo is what stuck. My family all call me the name and close friends are aware of the name but don’t use it. When I was little I was not the biggest fan of my nickname but as I’ve grown I’ve come to love it. When I have kids it’s going to be a good story for them. In all my life I’ve never met another bo either which I think is quote special.
