Alaina vs. Elaina

Hey, my name is Maria and my dh is Greg and I gave birth to a healthy baby girl this morning at 1:01 am! We need a name! We already have 1 son Tony (6) and one daughter Clarissa (4). We like the name Elaina but we don’t know which spelling is better. We would still like first name suggestions. Thanx! ~Maria, Greg, Tony, Clarissa, and baby

I love both Alaina and Elaina...What do you want to use for a nickname? Allie or Ellie? Or you could use Laney for either one. Liliana or Lily is really popular right now. Don’t like Viviana.

Thanx! We love the idea of using Ellie as a nn for Elaina! We also like the nn’s Laina and Lainey. We think Viviana is off of the list. We know Lily is popular, but we didn’t think Liliana was. We wouldn’t call her Lily that often. WDYT? Which goes best with Tony and Clarissa?

I love the name Elaina, it is on the top of mine and my husband’s list for our daughter. I love the combo Elaina Rose.

Another spelling you might consider is Elena or Eleina.
