Emery and Emory will always be boys names. I prefer the variant Emerson, however. I did have a cat named Emerson, nicknamed Emery.

My daughter’s name is Emery, so I think it is beautiful for a girl. Historically, it is a germanic boy’s name.

Traditionally it’s a male name, but because it sounds so much like Emily, it will eventually be a female name.

My name is Emery and I’m a girl! I think it’s a girl name, but I was named after my great grandpa. It can work either way, but I would say girl.

Emery was the 308th most popular boys name in 1915 and steadily declined until the 1970\’s.

Since 2005, it\’s made a comeback as both a boy\’s and girl\’s name (slightly more popular for girls.)

I think boy but nowadays allot of names are unisex. If this baby is a boy I plan on spelling it Emari.

I’m a boy and my name is Emory. I was named after my grandfather. I am so offended to see a lot of people online to say Emory/Emery is a girl name. Look on Wikipedia and historical sites, they say it is for a male.

Boy’s name, I don’t see how this could be considered a girl’s name in any way, shape, or form. I would never name a girls Emery, it would have to be something much more feminine, for example Emily or Emma.

My son is named Emery. Not sure where Emery (for girl) and Emory (for a boy) came about. I suppose we just make stuff up now. Anyway, its traditionally a boys name but not opposed as a girls name.

I'm about to have my first son and we are naming Emerson. Planning on calling him Emery! I was hesitant because I hear it's more feminine, but I love the name. The origin is male. I think it works both ways and is unique.
